Designing a process to prepare for General Congregation 2020

Over the two days of 8 and 9 November 2019, a small group came together at the Generalate in Rome to design a process to involve the whole CJ in preparing for General Congregation 2020.

The group consisted of Matthieu Daum, its facilitator, and the facilitator of the General Congregation, Philip Endean SJ, Ignatian resource person (more about both can be found on the Meet the Core Steering Group page of the website), Sisters Jane Livesey and Prisca Vadakepoondikulam of the General Leadership team, and Sisters Anna Quinterio (Italy), Helena Kang (Korea) and Gemma Simmonds (England), all elected delegates to the General Congregation.

The two days were lively and energising and by the end of them a process for preparing for the General Congregation, lasting from February to June 2020, had been designed in outline. This process, based on personal reflection and community conversations, will now be further worked on by some of the members of the group.  In due course, the material they produce will be circulated among the members of the CJ and also uploaded onto this website.
